Our Family

Mike works at KFYR TV in the sales department.  His employment at KFYR TV not only helps provide for our family, but his co workers are also extremely supportive and understanding of his need to be with family.  We are very fortunate that he has a great employer.  Mike will share his love for sports and the outdoors with our girls.  There isn’t a season he doesn’t have something going on.  Now if he can just get Layken to stop dancing on the basketball court we might have a ball player on our hands. Mike hopes to show the girls the importance of team work and hard work.

Kari is employed with Rainbow Energy Marketing Corporation.  They may be the best place in Bismarck to work.  She is also the owner of Bismarck’s  first mobile spray tan company.  Her days consist of working, appointments for Libby, picking up Layken from school, taking Layken to activities, and fitting in a couple spray tans here and there.  In her spare time she enjoys reading and even joined a book club. Kari hopes to teach and show her girls the importance of scheduling and being busy.  Just kidding she hopes to teach them patience, organization, and  the concept of commitment.

Layken is the sweet big sister.  She just seems to work her way into every single person’s heart.  Layken has grown up so much since the arrival of Miss Libby.  She slid nicely into the role of big sister. We love her enthusiasm when Libby does something new.  She does little cheers for Libby’s accomplishments that make our heart’s melt.  Layken is in Kindergarten and doing amazing!  We are so proud of her love to read and learn.   Everyday she continues to amaze us.

Miss Libby  has eyelashes that every girl dreams of and a smile that is sure to bring a smile to the gloomiest person’s face.  She is a true Mama’s girl.  If Kari enters a room she will crank her head until she can see her Mama. She has made our family complete and opened our eyes to a whole new world. She too continues to amaze us every single day.

Miss Libby is blessed to have both sides of our family so close.

Meet the Morrison’s

Grandpa (Kenny) and Grandma ( Donna) Morrison:  They live in Robinson, ND on the family farm that Kari grew up on.  Grandma finds time to sneak to Bismarck at least once a week usually between her 20 different jobs.  While in Bismarck she usually find time to visit Layken and Miss Libby and drop off some of her amazing baked goods or homemade items. Grandpa Kenny doesn’t leave the farm much, but man do the kids love going to the farm to see him and maybe get some fishing in too.  We love that our kids can experience the same wonderful things we did growing up. They will have memories to last a life time with the love and time they will have with Grandma and Grandpa.

Auntie Nicole, Cousin Nick & Nate:  Since we returned from Alabama there hasn’t been very many weeks when the three of them haven’t stopped by for a visit.  Most who know Nicole or are friends with her on facebook can see very clearly the love she has for my girls.  She is by far the busiest person I know, but still takes the time to visit the girls.  Nick and Nate have an will continue to teach my girls so many things. Like teaching Layken cursive writing, and chess.  We love having them over and the laughter we share is fuel for our souls.

Uncle Mitch, Cousin Scotta and Sydney:  Uncle Mitch will teach the girls the importance of respect for our country.  He fought for our freedom and we hope the girls will forever be thankful to Uncle Mitch for that very reason. Scotta and Sydney will show Layken and Libby what it’s like to love like sisters.  Nothing more special then having a built-in forever friend.

Meet the Wolff’s

Papa (Randy) and Nana (Pam) Wolff:  They live on the family farm Mike grew up on near Wing, ND.  Nana has created a love of food for my children.  Every grand kid knows at Nana’s you get whatever you want to eat.  I suppose that would be teaching our girls the act of service to others. Nana will drop everything to help our her grand kids. Now Papa will teach the girls the art of patience and to be calm.  It’s not very often, if ever you see Papa angry.  The girls will also have many memories to cherish from their time with Nana and Papa.

Uncle Scott, Cousin Kynlee, Hunter and Hudson: Uncle Scott is a very sincere person and works very hard for what he has.  He doesn’t miss a thing for his kids and this will teach my girls the importance of family support.  Kynlee has a very nurturing heart.  She loves babies and is a sweet girl.  Hunter and Hudson….. We will just say boys will be boys and that’s ok.  They too will show my girls the importance of dedication.  They love basketball and strive to be the best they can be.

Uncle Tanner, Cousin Addy: Uncle Tanner isn’t afraid to go along to the beat of his own drum.  Addy is kind of the same way as her dad.  So from that I hope our girls can become strong willed and a little care-fee at the same time.

Untie Holly, Uncle Chris and Baby Jaelyn:  Holly and Chris both have great love for our girls. You will be sure to see them acknowledge the girls first thing upon entering a room. They are both so great with kids, we hope they have at least 10. 🙂  Jaelyn well she is just a baby, but we have big dreams for that baby girl for her and Libby to be best of friends.  We hope that Jaelyn will help push Libby to nothing buy AMAZING!

So that is our family in a nut shell and what they mean to us as a family.  Without them we truly wouldn’t be where we are today.  For not being able to hand pick our family we feel God did a pretty good job putting us all together.  God Bless our Family and Friends.

  1. Hello,
I seen your families story on the news. It touched home, as our 14 year old son also has this brain disorder.
We live in Mandan. I wanted to let you know I am hoping for the best for your beautiful daughter.
